Parents' Association

Welcome to St George's!

The Parents' Association Committee would like to welcome you to the Georgian Family. We look forward to meeting you at our various fundraising and social activities throughout the year.

The Parents' Association, often simply known as the PA, consists of up to 25 parent members from both the Junior School and the College, and our primary role is to raise funds to purchase items that will enhance the Georgian experience for our children, both in and out of the classroom.

Throughout the year the Parents' Association organise events, such as the Fireworks Extravaganza, Christmas Market, Quiz Night, Summer Fete, and the Summer Ball to name just a few. All money raised from these events is donated to the school according to requests received from staff, parents, and students. Some of our recent purchases include:
  • Climbing wall in the College Activity Centre for use by College and JS Students
  • Wallpaper History Maps in the College 6th Form Centre
  • Display Cabinet for the College Biology Department to house an historical Watson & Crick microscope
  • Light boxes for the Junior School Art Department
  • Additional climbing wall equipment
  • Junior School leavers hoodies
  • Retractable seating for the JS Performing Arts Centre
  • Outdoor classroom at the College
  • Football goals
  • Artificial cricket wicket at the Junior School

We also run the Second Hand Uniform Shop, concession stands at various sporting events, and social evenings for new parents. There is a Link Parents system at the Junior School and a Class Rep system at the College to enable parents to communicate and socialise with each other. We do this primarily through Classlist.com, which you will need to sign up to and give us permission to contact you through (make sure you have completed your essential consents form). We also post updates to our SGW Parents' Website, and Facebook and Twitter Pages.

Classlist.com

We use Classlist.com as our parent to parent communication tool because:

  • It contains the only comprehensive list of contact information for your class and year group
  • It's the main means of communication between parents at St George's
  • It's how Link Parents or Class Reps will share information
  • You can send and receive invitations to social events
  • You can communicate with your child's class and year group
  • You can receive information about PA events and school events
  • There's an app you can use on your mobile
  • You can share as much or as little contact information as you'd like

You can register now with Classlist.com. Here's how:

  • Go to Classlist.com and enter St George's, Weybridge to find us
  • Enter the name of your child(ren) starting at St George's
  • Choose your class

Your child's name will be allocated to the correct class in September, but you can communicate within your group as soon as your registration is approved. Once you have registered, there's no need to re-register each year.

GDPR Note: The school does not upload any information to Classlist.com. All information is input by parents, and only St George's families are permitted access.
