St George’s operates a hardship bursary scheme for existing parents for whom a change in financial circumstances means they are no longer able to meet the fee payments. Temporary assistance can be provided to enable the family to return to a fee paying situation.
Bursaries are funded from fee income (i.e. other parents) and therefore the School expects parents to have exhausted all other means to meet the fees before applying.
Applicants for a hardship bursary must complete the attached forms, provided by the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association, and submit them to the Bursar’s Office, along with supporting evidence and any further information which illuminates their particular circumstances. The Bursar will usually arrange to meet applicants to discuss a way forward.
