Dear Parents
I would like to welcome all those of you whose children are joining the College in September. In one context or another we look forward to getting to know you, whether at school events, games, concerts, social evenings, Parents’ Evenings or through the St George’s Weybridge Parents’ Association, which I would strongly encourage you to support.
At St George’s, we are used to welcoming newcomers and are well aware that the size of the school might appear a little daunting at first. Please remember to reassure your child that we are a friendly lot and we will do all we can to welcome, integrate and care for them. It is our experience that after a few weeks, most are fully involved in their new lives within the school and thoroughly enjoy being here. In fact, it is often the case that parents are more concerned in those early days than the youngsters themselves!
The first port of call is always your child's Tutor who will be in touch with you early in September. If you wish to know more about the processes within the school before September, please do not hesitate to contact Miss P Bell, my PA.
I am confident that your family will enjoy a long and happy relationship with the College; we will certainly encourage your child to become the very best version of themselves.
